Working method of the alligator shears

How does the alligator shear work and what is it used for? When you want to cut or clean your material, insert the material between the mouth of the shear. With the foot pedal you can control the shearing movement. The counter holder (hydraulic or mechanical) ensures that the material is 'stopped'. With the help of two knives, the material is being cut.
